Inferential and weighting jurisprudence

Course Description: The course covers the study of topics in ijtihad, taqlid, fatwa, qiyas, contradiction, and tarjih.
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

The student will be able to have a deep understanding of the fundamental issues related to ijtihad, taqlid, fatwa, and the makings of a mujtahid, as well as analogical reasoning and its contemporary impact. They will also be able to differentiate between the concepts of following the easiest opinion (tattabu' al-rukhsas), syncretism (talfeeq), and invoking scholarly disagreement for justification (al-ihtijaj bil-khilaf).

Knowledge and understanding:
It defines a deep specialized set of knowledge and theories related to inferential reasoning, in which specialized fields are integrated to generate new and pioneering knowledge.
Explains knowledge and precise understanding of diverse jurisprudential processes, techniques, practices, and terminology based on recent developments and emerging issues and challenges.
3- Describes advanced knowledge in conducting original research and scientific activities that contribute to development in fields of deductive reasoning.
Skills:
Applies leading theories, principles, and concepts of Ijtihad (independent legal reasoning) in highly complex contexts to disseminate and advance original knowledge and new insights through diverse communication methods with peers and specialized groups.
2- Evaluates modern jurisprudential concepts, principles, and theories, developing creative and innovative solutions for new methodological issues and problems in highly complex contexts, using advanced technologies.
Develops advanced research methodologies in performing complex original research tasks and projects, utilizing digital technology tools and applications for quantitative data processing and interpretation to advance the discipline.
