Purposes of the Shari'ah

Course Description: To define the meaning of the objectives of Sharia, their categories, the objectives of the accountable person, their categories, the relationship of these categories to Islamic legal rulings, and to develop a capacity for scientific discussion, dialogue, and deduction.

Objectives of the course :

1. Introducing students to the objectives of Islamic law, their divisions, the objectives of the obligated individuals, their divisions, and the connection of these divisions to legal rulings. .
2- Developing students' relationship with the objectives of Sharia, and exploring the treasures of this knowledge. .
3- Developing critical thinking and reasoning skills in students. .
4. Developing students' skills in dealing with the sources of Islamic legal objectives. .

Course outputs :

Knowledge and understanding:
1- To clarify the controls of the legitimate purposes.
2. To review the methodologies of scholars regarding the purposes of Islamic law.
3- To clarify the jurisprudential rulings on contemporary issues through the objectives of Islamic law.

1- To link the study of contemporary jurisprudential issues to the objectives of Sharia.
2. To discuss juristic opinions and their evidence related to the objectives of Sharia.
