Course Description: This course is concerned with the study of the concept of Islamic culture, its sources, and its characteristics, and explains the most important contemporary intellectual issues, their challenges, and ways to confront them.

Credit hours: 3

Objectives of the course :

Upon completion of this course, students are expected to be able to contribute to building the individual's and society's character according to Islamic teachings, to comprehend contemporary challenges, and to protect them from counter influences.

Course outputs :

Knowledge and understanding:
To explain the concept of Islamic culture, its importance, sources, and the challenges it faces.
Describing the types of paramount values in Islam and their impact on the individual, society, and humanity.
To mention ways to promote good morals and ways to address reprehensible morals.
Skills:
To derive cultural implications and meanings from the Quran and Sunnah in order to interpret Islam's stance on issues concerning women, human rights, and other contemporary matters.
Proposing innovative solutions to confront various cultural crises and ways to confront and overcome them.
To compare moral and civilizational values in Islam, their standard, source of obligation, and effects.

Developing personality traits that reflect ethical values in the field of Islamic culture.
