Islam and Community Building

Course Description: The course Islam and Building Society (Isl 102) is one of the four Islamic culture requirements approved for the bachelor's degree program at Qassim University. The Department of Da'wah and Islamic Culture at the College of Sharia is responsible for teaching the course and administering the final exam, while the course instructor administers the midterm exam and evaluates student work throughout the semester.

Objectives of the course :

• Definition of the Islamic community and family systems. .
• Understanding the foundations of building a Muslim society, its characteristics, and the reasons for strengthening social bonds among its members. .
• Understanding the most important family and social problems and ways to address them. .
Knowledge of jurisprudence and its general rulings. .
• Recognize the rulings of marriage in Islam. .
• Identify the rulings on divorce in Islam. And distinguish them from divorce in Judaism and Christianity.
Highlight the legislative ruling on the generality of this provision.
