Introduction to Islamic Culture

Course Description: The course "Introduction to Islamic Culture (S L M 101)" is considered the first of the four foundational Islamic Culture requirements approved for the Bachelor's degree program at Qassim University. The Department of Dawah and Islamic Culture at the College of Sharia is responsible for teaching it and administering the final exam, while the course instructor conducts the midterm exam and assesses student work throughout the semester.

Objectives of the course :

To equip students with a sufficient body of Islamic culture and knowledge that enables them to understand their religion correctly, qualifying them to fulfill their duties towards their society and nation.

Course outputs :

Knowledge and understanding:
1- The student will explain the following concepts: Islamic culture, the science of Islamic culture, Orientalism, Christian missionary work, and colonialism.
2. The student will clarify the relationship between culture, religion, values, science, civilization, and culture.
3. The student will demonstrate the realistic nature of Islamic culture in its perspective on other cultures.
Skills:
1. The student should be able to deduce the pillars and focal points of Islamic culture.
