Contemporary Historical Issues

Course Description: This course addresses prominent contemporary Arab issues such as the Palestinian cause, the rise of the Zionist movement, the Palestinian resistance, the Kashmir issue, the Darfur region in Sudan, Muslims in the Philippines and Chechnya, and ethnic issues like the Amazigh and the Kurds.

Understanding the beginnings of contemporary Arab issues, the events that resulted from them, and the Arab, Islamic, and global positions toward them, with the ability to deduce, analyze, compare, and arrange, and to link causes with results.
