Course description: This course is concerned with studying the conditions surrounding the Islamic conquests in North Africa (Maghreb) and Andalusia, as well as the Islamic states that ruled in the Maghreb. It focuses on studying their origins, the conditions of their establishment, their most prominent emirs and sultans, and their relations with neighboring political powers, while also presenting the most important aspects of the civilization of those states.
