Milestones in the Prophet's biography

Course Description: This course examines aspects of the Prophet Muhammad's biography through study, research, and analysis, based on scientific and Sharia principles. Its importance stems from the topics it addresses, which include: defining terms related to the biography, the objectives of studying it, its characteristics, and its sources. It then covers the state of the world before the prophethood, followed by the Prophet's life before his mission. Next, it delves into the commencement of the mission and the initiation of the call in Mecca, followed by the migration to Medina and the establishment of the state. The course then details the sequence of events, such as examining some of the battles and expeditions and their outcomes, internal and external opposition, the invitation of kings and princes, and the spread of Islam after the conquest of Mecca. Finally, it touches upon his death. The course is concerned with explaining the Prophet's status, the proofs of his prophethood, his ethics, his rights, his unique attributes, and refuting some doubts raised by those who disparage the Prophet's biography.

Objectives of the course :

To know the Prophet's biography correctly in general, from birth to death, and to clarify the Prophet's status, evidence of his prophethood, his characteristics, his unique attributes, and his rights, and to follow his example, and derive lessons and insights from his biography, and to possess the skill to respond to and discuss some of the doubts raised against the biography, and to benefit from this learning in one's life and the reality of one's society, while acquiring skills in analysis, deduction, correlation, organization, comparison, and summarization.

  • He knows the Messenger's lineage, birth, death, proofs of his prophethood, attributes, and characteristics.
  • It describes the methods of the polytheists in confronting the call in Mecca.
  • It corrects some slanders and doubts about the ethics of war in Islam.
