Prophetic Biography (1)

Course Description: This course examines the Meccan period of the Prophet's biography through study, research, and analysis, based on scientific and Sharia principles. Its importance stems from the topics it addresses, which include: defining terminology related to the biography, the objectives of studying it, its characteristics, its sources, methodologies for dealing with its accounts, the state of the world before the prophethood, the life of the Messenger (peace be upon him) before his mission, the commencement of the Prophethood and the launch of the Da'wah (call to Islam) in Mecca, the obstacles faced by the Da'wah, the methods used by the polytheists to combat it, the Messenger's (peace be upon him) stance on Quraysh's aggression, the migration to Abyssinia, the Messenger's (peace be upon him) migration to Ta'if, the conversion of the Jinn, the beginning of the Ansar's conversion, the two pledges of Aqabah, the history and inhabitants of Yathrib, the spread of Islam there, the migration to Medina, and the lessons and morals derived from all these events. It also addresses some doubts raised by those who criticize the Prophetic biography during the study period.

Objectives of the course :

Knowing the biography of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the Meccan period correctly, from birth until his migration to Medina, and clarifying the sacrifices made by the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his companions for the sake of the call, following his example (peace be upon him), drawing lessons and reflections from his biography, and possessing the skill to respond to and discuss some doubts raised against the biography, and benefiting from this learning in his life and the reality of his society, while acquiring skills in organization, connection, deduction, comparison, and analysis.

It mentions the lineage of the Messenger (peace be upon him), his birth, and his life before the mission.
It describes the methods of the polytheists in confronting the call in Mecca.
