Special Topic in Geography and Environment

Course Description: Students will be introduced to scientific research skills based on modern scientific technologies, with training on conducting scientific research in the fields of environment and geography in terms of analysis and discussion, and identifying students' specialization trends in their theses or research projects.
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

Students will be able to learn about the scientific curricula applied in geography and the environment.
2. Students will learn the foundations of research and data sources in geography and the environment.
3. Identifying research skills in geography and environment (choosing a topic, building a plan, collecting material, and field study).
4. Provide students with field training to research a topic or phenomenon in any branch of geography and the environment.

Course outputs :

The student defines the scientific skills for completing their environmental geography research topic.
Gains knowledge of reading scientific research and how to manage its scientific analyses.
The student learns the skills of preparing a research paper (citation/documentation/...).
The student applies a number of modern geographical methods that serve their environmental geography study topic.
