GIS Applications in Geography and Environmental Geography

Course Description: This course covers the various uses of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in geography and environmental studies. It addresses identifying types of geographic data, methods for organizing data into databases, data entry and processing, and map creation and cartographic representation. It aims to enable students to employ GIS tools and techniques for scientifically and systematically analyzing geographic and environmental problems, building spatial databases, performing advanced spatial analyses, and deriving indicators to support decision-making in environmental planning and sustainable development.
