Geodesic space

Course Description: Provide the student with a sufficient and comprehensive amount of knowledge in fundamental surveying operations so that they can work in the field of surveying, establishing ground elevations, and surveying and mapping land for the purpose of creating maps of vast areas. Familiarization with surveying methods and development of the skill to use surveying equipment in the field, and completion of work in the office.

Objectives of the course :

Introduction to geodetic surveying as the most accurate type of surveying, its importance in geographical studies, in addition to surveying methods and developing the skill of using surveying equipment in the field.

Course outputs :

The student recalls information about the shape of the Earth.
The student recognizes the networks of triangles, their adjustment, durability, and requirements.
The student identifies the types of planar coordinates.
Comparing triangle meshes
It produces maps converted from the Earth's surface.
Compares between types of planar coordinates
The student commits to integrity and ethics in scientific research in their field of specialization.
The student bears the responsibility for continuous self-learning and developing their abilities.
The student actively collaborates with peers in solving geographical problems within research groups.
