Geography of transportation and trade

Course Description: The course aims to introduce the concept of transport and trade geography and its methodologies, understand the natural factors influencing transport and trade geography, understand the human factors influencing transport and trade geography, and become acquainted with the most prominent quantitative methods used in transport and trade geography, as well as the types of land, water, and air transport. It also aims to introduce the role of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in transport and trade geography, understand the negative impacts of transport, and become acquainted with the concept and evolution of trade. Finally, it will cover prominent practical experiences in the field of transport and trade geography in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab world.
