Course Description: Highlighting the characteristics and features of arid and semi-arid regions, defining the concepts of aridity and drought, and classifying arid and semi-arid zones. This course will explain the most important factors for the existence of arid and semi-arid regions in terms of the geomorphology of dry lands, surface cover, water resources, and the population of arid regions. It will also address the future of arid regions at local and regional levels, identifying environmental problems and risks in dry lands and how to manage them.
