Course Description: Study of particle motion of both linear and curved types, description of relative motion of particles; study of particle kinetics: through the application of Newton's laws, the work-energy principle, and the impulse-momentum principle, and the study of collisions between particles; study of rigid body motion in a plane: description of motion using relative velocity and acceleration, and description of motion using rotating axes; study of rigid body kinetics: translation, rotation about a fixed axis, and general motion, using Newton's laws, the work-energy principle, and the impulse-momentum principle, and the study of collisions between rigid bodies.

Objectives of the course :

1. Teach students the definitions of kinematics, kinetics, and dynamics for particles and rigid bodies.
2. Assist students in memorizing and understanding how to use Newton's Second Law, and the principles of energy and momentum in the kinematics of particles and rigid bodies.
3. Enable students to distinguish between different types of motion for particles and solid objects.
4. Explanation of how to solve kinematics and kinetics problems for particles and rigid bodies.
5. Assisting students in applying the principles of acceleration and force, work and energy, and impulse and momentum.
