Course Description: Introduction – The spread of malnutrition diseases and their impact on human health – Energy and protein-related malnutrition - Calcium deficiency and bone diseases - Zinc deficiency – Iodine deficiency and its effects - Study of different types of nutritional anemia - Vitamin A, Vitamin D, and other vitamins and minerals deficiencies.

Objectives of the course :

The course aims to identify malnutrition diseases and their nutritional management – discussing the causes and prevalence of malnutrition diseases – a map of malnutrition diseases and their prevalence in different continents – discussing malnutrition problems in the Arab world, especially Saudi Arabia.

Course outputs :

At the end of studying this course, the student will be able to:
1. Understanding malnutrition diseases and the appropriate nutritional intervention for each case.
2. Understanding the causes and prevalence of malnutrition-related diseases. .
3. Understanding the factors that may affect nutritional status and lead to malnutrition. .
4. Discussing malnutrition problems in Arab science, especially in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. .
