Course Description: This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of financial management in an international context. Students will study globalization and multinational corporations, the international monetary system, the balance of payments, and corporate governance around the world. The course also covers the foreign exchange market, international parity relationships, foreign exchange rate forecasting, and futures and options contracts on foreign currencies. Students will investigate the management of exposure to economic risk, transaction risk, and accounting translation risk. The course also addresses international banking and money markets, international bond and stock markets, interest rate and currency swaps, and international portfolio investment. Finally, students will explore foreign direct investment, international capital structure and cost of capital, international capital budgeting, cash management in multinational corporations, international trade finance, and the international tax environment.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
