Course Description: Corporate Finance is an advanced course that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of corporate finance theories and practices. The course begins with a study of corporate governance frameworks and their role in shaping sound financial decisions. Students will explore capital budgeting techniques and methods for evaluating projects, supported by a precise understanding of the cost of capital and its implications for investment and financing decisions. The course also analyzes financial leverage, capital structure theories, and the relationship between financing choices and the required rate of return. Students will also study dividend policy and share repurchase strategies as key mechanisms for distributing value to shareholders. Additionally, the course works to develop students' proficiency in working capital management and analyzing financial statements to assess a company's performance and financial health. Furthermore, the course covers approaches to valuing businesses and equity, identifying and valuing financial options, and concludes with a study of mergers and acquisitions as a strategic tool in corporate finance.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Evaluating capital budgeting methods and their application in assessing projects and investment decisions.
Calculate and interpret the cost of capital, and analyze financial leverage metrics and their impact on company risk and profitability.
Analyze theories of capital structure and required rate of return, and evaluate dividend policy and share repurchase strategies.
