Real estate investments

Course Description: This course addresses various aspects and fundamental concepts related to real estate markets, including the analysis of residential and commercial real estate markets, real estate development and expansion, real estate finance and investment decision-making, fundamentals of real estate appraisal and valuation, economic and social factors affecting real estate value, property management, principles of valuing residential properties and income-generating properties, and the legal aspects governing real estate investments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Prerequisites: FIN 240
Objectives of the course :

1- Definition of basic concepts related to the real estate investment market, finance, and mortgages.
2- Analysis of real estate investment decisions and evaluation of associated returns and risks, as well as analysis of real estate investment financing alternatives.
3. Understanding the real estate market in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its regulations, and the institutions overseeing its operations, in addition to understanding related issues.

Course outputs :

Through preparing a midterm and final exam... in addition to an individual report that includes, first, a study of the social responsibility of a Saudi joint-stock company, and second, a study of the ethical dimension of a real estate investment fund. .
