Course Description: This course focuses on finance theories and their practical applications. It covers the main sources of financing for firms and how they interact with financial markets and institutions, as well as the environments related to financing decisions in general. It also highlights primary sources and instruments of financing, including stocks, bonds, retained earnings, financial leasing, and others. It presents policies and models that enable the evaluation and combination of these options to achieve optimal financing structures. Furthermore, it explains how to analyze financing risks faced by firms and discusses models that link return and risk.

Objectives of the course :

This course aims to equip students with the fundamental knowledge and concepts related to corporate finance by introducing them to the types of risk.
The challenges companies face and the extent to which capital structure policies affect company value, as well as an analysis of companies' dividend distribution policies.
This course also aims to equip students with critical thinking skills and the ability to solve corporate finance-related problems.
