Course Description: This course covers fundamental concepts related to insurance and risk management. It focuses on the dimensions of the insurance function, personal risks, particularly underwriting and pricing of risks. It also addresses the technical aspects using life tables to determine insurance amounts and their corresponding premiums. Furthermore, this course presents methods of reinsurance and its implications, along with a study and evaluation of alternative risk management tools.
