At the end of this course, the student is expected to be able to:
– Recognizing electronic applications (on computers and elsewhere) aimed at serving scientific research, understanding their types, advantages, and specialized uses.
– Practicing information retrieval, collecting scientific material from electronic sources, and improving its handling.
– Gain the necessary experience and sufficient skill to utilize electronic tools in scientific research.
– Learn the basics and methods of documenting information from electronic sources, and practice them.
Knowledge and understanding:
1- To clarify the controls for electronic research and documentation.
2. To explain jurisprudential rulings through electronic sources.
Skills:
1- To photograph jurisprudential issues and incidents through electronic sources.
2- To deduce jurisprudential rulings from electronic sources.

1- Demonstrate Islamic principles and values in jurisprudential disagreement and dialog with others.

General introduction to electronic resources (web, databases, magnetic disk applications, static electronic encyclopedias, etc.).
Comparison between book research and electronic research (in terms of availability, cost, sources, reliability, quantity and quality, motivation).
Web search engines (e.g., Google Scholar at scholar.google.com): types, characteristics, and usage skills.
University Libraries Deanship Information Resources (Dar Al Manzoma information resource, Al Manhal information resource, AskZed information resource, Ma'rifah information resource, Jamea Net database, Noon information resource): characteristics, advantages, comparison between them, methods of accessing their data, full-text availability, content searching, documentation methods.
Electronic indexes for scientific content (e.g., the Universal Index www.worldcat.organd specialized indexes in jurisprudential research): types, characteristics, research skills
Specialized Jurisprudence Search Websites and Portals (e.g., Fiqh Encyclopedias, Fatwa Issuing Bodies, University Websites, Peer-Reviewed Journals, Scholars' Websites, Fiqh Forums, etc.): Their Types, Characteristics, Limits of Utilization, and Criteria for Verification and Citation. .

Compendium of Islamic Jurisprudence: Its Characteristics, Services, Sources, Research Methods, Special Skills for Jurisprudential Research, and Referencing.

Research Formatting Program (Word): Indexing and abstracting services for scientific papers, citation and footnote writing skills, indexing, scientific paper output, application of approved specifications for writing scientific theses at the university.
Advanced Cleaner Program (OneNote): Introduction, its features in following up on research preparation, documenting sources, and its use in organizing the collection of scientific material.
Mechanisms of documentation and authentication, how to document material from electronic sources, and how to formulate bibliographic citations in an electronic environment (this practically relates to every type of electronic source in the previous units).
Academic and literary plagiarism detection software for research and studies, and applications for comparing citations and their reliability (available from the University Libraries Deanship).
Book and research scanning tools.
