Course Description: The Aesthetics course FAD324, with 2 credit hours, covers definitions of beauty and aesthetics, the history of aesthetic thought up to the modern era, contemporary aesthetic trends, modern theories in aesthetics, the aesthetic perspective in art, functions of art and artistic/aesthetic creativity, the relationship of aesthetics to other studies, examples of aesthetic thought among contemporary Arabs, and presentation and critique of student research.
