Course Description: The Environmental Design course (FAD318), worth 2 credit hours, covers green design, which positively impacts and is impacted by the environment in its form, techniques, and materials used. The course qualifies students to evaluate environmental design and propose solutions for environmental design problems.

Objectives of the course :

The course aims to study environmental design in general through the relationship between design and the surrounding environment, whether it is an indoor or outdoor environment and the human-made products it contains, as well as lighting and its types, in addition to the geographical phenomena of open spaces, physical phenomena, and others. It also aims to recognize the concept of green and sustainable design, energy conservation, material usage, environmentally friendly implementation techniques, and the role of environmental design in recycling.
