Course Description: The Crochet Art course (FAD182), which is worth 2 credit hours, covers crochet art (its uses, advantages, and appropriate needles and threads), basic stitches (double crochet, half double crochet, treble crochet, double treble crochet), methods for creating different geometric shapes (square, circle, triangle, pentagon, hexagon), making decorative strips along with how to transfer designs or stitches from magazines, and executing some children's clothing and accessories (shoes, socks, hats), as well as some home accessories (runners, cushions).

Objectives of the course :

The course aims to train the student to execute basic crochet stitches using appropriate needles and threads, and to utilize them in making (clothing items and their accessories - and home accessories) with the use of appropriate embellishment techniques.

- Execute simple crochet stitches (chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, triple crochet) with correct technical execution.
Decorative ribbons and crochet flowers are used to embellish furnishings and clothing accessories.
