Course Description: The Fashion History course (FAD130), taught at the second level with one credit hour, provides an artistic description of women's fashion styles from various eras (Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Islamic, 13th-14th-15th-16th-17th-18th-19th-20th centuries). This description is achieved by detailing design lines ("constructive, decorative"), materials, colors, and clothing accessories ("attached, separate").

Objectives of the course :

The course aims to introduce students to different historical civilizations, their characteristics, and their extent of development. It also aims to illustrate how these civilizations reflected on historical women's fashion styles and to analyze the evolution of forms, names, decorations, and colors throughout historical eras and centuries.
