Introduction to Epidemiology

Course Description: This course covers the fundamental principles of epidemiology, methods for measuring disease and its spread in communities, and measures of incidence and prevalence. It introduces students to descriptive and analytical epidemiological study designs and how to use them for disease surveillance, control, and health decision-making.

1. Introduce the student to the fundamental principles of epidemiology.
2. Equipping the student with methods for measuring disease and its prevalence in communities.
