Course Description: This course covers various aspects of corporate governance and provides students with a comprehensive understanding of theoretical frameworks for corporate governance, focusing on different corporate governance practices in global markets. It covers all governance topics, including advanced corporate governance theories and their implications, such as agency theory, stakeholder theory, stewardship theory, resource dependency theory, and systems theory, as well as explaining corporate governance regulatory frameworks and the role of governance rating agencies, board functions, and issues related to the board's agenda in line with the principle of transparency, and the importance of reporting and disclosure; and governance mechanisms in listed and unlisted companies.
