Objectives of the course :

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Familiarity with the basics and concepts related to power electronics circuits and their applications.

2. Familiarity with basic information about semiconductor devices used in power electronics and their characteristics.

3. Understanding different types of power transformers and their applications.

4. The ability to differentiate between the advantages and disadvantages of different types of power converters within the same category.

5. The ability to analyze, design, and control power electronics converters such as rectifiers, DC choppers, AC voltage controllers, and inverters.

6. Ability to perform some practical experiments on power electronics circuits.
