Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
* Gain a basic knowledge of the characteristics and operation of analog, digital, and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
* Use laboratory equipment and instruments to verify the operation of analog, digital, and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
Simulation and design of analog, digital, and mixed-signal integrated circuits, and switched-mode power supply (SMPS) ICs.
* Ability to implement effective Second Order Active Filters and Phase Shifters.
Ability to implement Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) and Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) circuits.
* Study and analysis of electrical engineering solutions designs under different operating conditions using engineering software and/or practical experiments.
Technical laboratory report preparation, as well as conducting oral discussions within the work team.
* Developing values, independence, and accountability.
* Work within a team, and develop self-organization skills and behaviors associated with personal responsibility in time management as a team member or leader.
