Course Description: The contents of this course will be determined according to the latest topics in the field to serve the labor market or according to the faculty member's area of interest, with the aim of enhancing the student's experience and knowledge. The first part of this course includes an overview of the electricity market and new and renewable energy sources, and includes: * An overview of the local electricity grid. * Introduction to renewable energy. * Opportunities and challenges of renewable energy. * Integration of distributed generation and large-scale renewable energy generation. * Sustainability in electric power systems.
