The main objectives of this course are:
* To provide students with the principles of digital modulation techniques, including synchronous digital modulation such as Amplitude Shift Keying (ASK), Frequency Shift Keying (FSK), Phase Shift Keying (PSK), Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK), Minimum Shift Keying (MSK), and Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying (GMSK), as well as asynchronous digital modulation such as Frequency Division Multiplexing (FDM) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM).
* Provide students with knowledge related to information theory, including error-correcting coding techniques.
Upon completing this course, the student will be able to understand the different techniques used in digital communication systems.
Identify the fundamental theoretical and mathematical concepts of digital communication systems.
Identify the different types of digital modulation methods.
* Application of fundamental principles and mathematical aspects of various embedding techniques and channel effects on digital communication systems.
* Design of simple digital radio transmitters and receivers.
