Physical therapy in surgery and burns

Course Description: This course provides students with fundamental knowledge related to skin structure and function, mechanisms of burn injury, types, degrees, and complications. It also covers the stages of wound healing and associated disorders. Furthermore, it focuses on evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and physical therapy for surgical conditions and burns, including rehabilitation programs and various therapeutic interventions to improve motor function, enhance recovery, and reduce complications.

Objectives of the course :

Learn the basic medical aspects related to burns and surgical conditions.
Linking medical knowledge and physical therapy principles to achieve an accurate physical therapy diagnosis.
Application of various methods and techniques used in physical therapy for burns and surgical conditions.
