Physical therapy in an industrial environment

Course Description: The course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to assess industrial work environments, identify occupational hazard factors, apply the principles of ergonomics and physical therapy in the prevention and management of occupational injuries, while adhering to professional and ethical standards and working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Objectives of the course :

1. Introducing students to the concepts of occupational health and the industrial work environment, and their role in promoting workers' health.
2. Providing students with knowledge related to occupational risk factors, injuries, and work-related musculoskeletal disorders.
3. Equip students with the skills to assess the work environment and analyze job tasks using appropriate methods and tools.
4. Qualifying students to design and implement evidence-based preventive programs and therapeutic interventions to reduce occupational injuries.
5. Encourage self-learning and continuous professional development to keep pace with developments in the fields of occupational physical therapy and the work environment.
