Applied Kinesiology

Course Description: This course provides students with foundational information on the kinematic and kinetic analysis of various body parts, as well as the pathological mechanisms that may occur. The course also covers gait analysis and its various disorders, and allows students the opportunity to review current issues and explore future trends in the field of kinesiology.
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

1. Identify the basic terms and definitions used in kinesiology.
2. Familiarization with kinematic and dynamic kinematic analysis of various body joints
3. Utilization of comprehensive knowledge of kinesiology to study movements and forces acting on the human body, in both normal and pathological conditions.

Course outputs :

• Understanding of normal movement and classification of joints, as well as pathological mechanical changes of the various joints and the spine.
• Understanding and clarifying abnormal mechanics that may be present in the lower limb joints, spine, and between different pathological conditions, and during gait.
• Solve problems related to the joint reaction forces of different joints of the lower extremity and the lumbar spine.
Exhibit the required attributes for professional efficiency, including teamwork skills and continuous self-learning.
