Course Description: This course aims to introduce the principles by which therapeutic exercises and movement affect bodily functions, physiological adaptations to therapeutic exercises and training, as well as the design of an evidence-based treatment plan, guidelines for exercise stress testing, and the prescription of therapeutic exercises for individuals with various health conditions.

Objectives of the course :

1. Acquire relevant knowledge related to the field of exercise physiology, including the different energy systems in the body and the role of each during the practice of different types of exercises.
2. Plan and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions according to expected outcome measures for individuals with various health conditions.
3. Design evidence-based treatment plans and guidelines for performing physical stress tests and prescribing therapeutic exercises for healthy individuals, high-risk individuals, and individuals with known diseases.

Course outputs :

1.0 Knowledge and Understanding
1.1 Understanding the basic concepts and theories related to fuel for therapeutic exercise, the immediate and long-term responses of various body systems to therapeutic exercise, and the adaptations that occur in the body as a result of it.
1.2 Explanation of the integrated role of all body systems in developing and maintaining physical fitness.
