Course Description: This course aims to introduce a variety of theories and models related to economic growth and development, focusing on the effects of development on income distribution and poverty levels, the role of government in achieving economic growth and development, in addition to the role of monetary and fiscal policies in supporting the development process. The course also seeks to employ economic analysis tools to study the main issues related to economic growth and development in developing countries.
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

1- Explain the concept of economic development and analyze its various dimensions.
2- Discussing the impact of development on income distribution and poverty levels.
3. Compare the roles of the government sector and the private sector in the development process.
4. Evaluating the role of different economic policies and their impact.
5- Formulating appropriate policies for the Saudi economy.
