Course Description: This course aims to provide an in-depth analysis of economic relations between countries, focusing on the trade and monetary aspects of the global economy. It also seeks to equip students with a comprehensive background on the four main pillars of international economics: international trade, international production, international finance, and international development. Key topics covered in the course include theories and policies of international trade, national income accounting and the balance of payments, foreign exchange markets and exchange rate determination, as well as monetary and fiscal policies in an open economy.
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

1- Knowledge of commercial and monetary issues in the global economy and understanding their various dimensions.
2- Possessing in-depth knowledge of various international trade theories, including the theories of absolute advantage and comparative advantage, inter-industry and intra-industry trade patterns, as well as balance of payments theories and exchange rate determination.
3. Understanding macroeconomic and trade policies and analyzing their impact on the global economy.
Demonstrate analytical, computational, and critical thinking skills that enable the processing and interpretation of issues and cases related to international trade and international finance.
