Course Description: This course covers the basic concepts related to public finance from an economic perspective. It reviews the concepts of public goods, public expenditures, public revenues, and the state budget. Additionally, the course analyzes the relationship between the components of the state budget and macroeconomic indicators. On the other hand, it compares public finance in different economic systems (capitalist, socialist, and Islamic). The public finance course also focuses on studying the aspects of the state's financial activity and aims to introduce students to the concept, nature, and scope of public finance science, public expenditures and revenues, the state budget, and public debt. .

Prerequisites: ECON120
Objectives of the course :

1- Understands the importance of public finance, its subject matter, and its connections to other sciences.
2- Understands the importance of public spending and explains the basic elements of public expenditure.
3- Identifies the basic classifications of public expenditures and the factors determining the size of public spending and its controls.
Explains the phenomenon of increasing public spending and defines its effects.
5- Reviews the different types of public revenue. .
6- Understands some basic concepts related to tax theory, such as double taxation, tax evasion, and tax shifting.
7- Understands the procedures for preparing the state's general budget and reviews financial control methods and the concept of the general budget deficit. .

1.2 Explains basic concepts and terminology related to financial systems.
1.3 Applying the budget and how to prepare it.
