Course Description: This course addresses the most important contemporary economic issues. The course focuses on discussing significant and current economic issues and topics that are of interest to economics students, thereby increasing their understanding and benefit in our current era. Among these contemporary economic issues are the growing gap between developing and economically advanced countries, the issue of sustainable development, the issue of banking interest, the issue of small and medium-sized enterprises, the issue of the knowledge-based economy, the issue of globalization, the issue of economic integration among Arab countries or GCC countries, the issue of the global financial crisis, the issue of energy economies, and other economic subjects and issues.

Objectives of the course :

After completing this course, the student will be able to:
1. Definition of basic concepts related to economic studies.
2. Explanation and summary of lessons learned from economic studies and their role in addressing contemporary economic issues.
3. Applying economic knowledge in preparing collective written reports on practical economic issues.
4. Demonstrating the student's skills in interacting with and addressing contemporary economic issues, and presenting them verbally. .
5. Critical thinking on some topics of modern financial economics and providing a set of recommendations.
