Course Description: This course aims to help students become familiar with the fundamental concepts and skills necessary for conducting scientific research in financial economics. The course reviews the basics and methodologies of scientific research used in the field. It includes a study of the foundational knowledge and rules of scientific research, covering the nature of scientific research, qualities of the scientific researcher, types of research, stages of scientific research, research methodologies, scientific research ethics, the research problem, research objectives, formulating study literature, formulating and testing hypotheses, the theoretical framework, data and information sources, research samples and their selection and testing methods, analysis and conclusion, writing scientific research, and writing references and citations.

Objectives of the course :

This course aims to help students identify the basic concepts and skills necessary for preparing scientific research in the fields of economics and financial sciences. The course reviews the scientific research methodologies used in economic and financial sciences, including the steps of preparing scientific research, identifying the research problem, the methodologies used in research, data collection methods, measurement tools, hypothesis testing, data analysis, interpretation of results, writing the research, drawing conclusions and recommendations, and the method of writing references and indexes. It also focuses on the practical aspect through writing a research project, in which the skills and knowledge acquired during this course are applied. The course concludes with a public discussion by students on their research projects.

1.2 Explains basic concepts and terms associated with research and investigation methods, problem formulation, and finding necessary solutions.
