This course aims to help students identify the basic concepts and skills necessary for preparing scientific research in the fields of economics and financial sciences. The course reviews the scientific research methodologies used in economic and financial sciences, including the steps of preparing scientific research, identifying the research problem, the methodologies used in research, data collection methods, measurement tools, hypothesis testing, data analysis, interpretation of results, writing the research, drawing conclusions and recommendations, and the method of writing references and indexes. It also focuses on the practical aspect through writing a research project, in which the skills and knowledge acquired during this course are applied. The course concludes with a public discussion by students on their research projects.
1.1 Recognizes the basic concepts of scientific research methodologies used in economic and financial research and studies.
1.2 Explains basic concepts and terms associated with research and investigation methods, problem formulation, and finding necessary solutions.
1.3 Applies and analyzes scientific research principles and scientific and technical methods in the execution of the research project.
2.1 Orally presents topics related to scientific research.
2.2 Presents research-related information in writing.
Practices and appreciates the values of teamwork by preparing a group report on research methods and tools and presenting a research project in collaboration with his colleagues.
