Advanced periapical histology

Course description: This course covers advanced periodontal concepts, including a description of advanced treatment options with an emphasis on advanced diagnostic modalities, and multidisciplinary considerations such as the endo-perio relationship, ortho-perio relationship, perio-restorative relationship, periodontal laser therapy, and occlusal trauma. The course also discusses the principles of periodontal maintenance for dental implants, highlights the importance of local and systemic antimicrobial agents in periodontal therapy, as well as the impact of occlusal trauma on periodontal health.

Objectives of the course :

This course primarily aims to introduce students to advanced periodontology concepts, which include advanced aspects of periodontics in oral and dental healthcare, and multidisciplinary issues encountered in the practice of oral and dental health.

The student should recall advanced treatment and diagnosis methods in periodontics.
