Course Description: This course (DESI731) is a research seminar for the third-level PhD in Fashion Design and Production program, worth 3 credit hours. It covers how to select a research problem in the field of specialization, determine the foundations for writing an introduction that addresses logical sequencing and the sense of the research problem, study the difference between research objectives and significance, the foundations of research procedural steps, how to determine research tools appropriate to the nature of the research, and training on interpreting research results.

Objectives of the course :

The course aims to cover how to choose a research problem in the field of specialization, the procedural steps for solving it, and the statistical treatments that are compatible with the research problem and hypotheses. It also focuses on effective utilization of the information network and knowledge sources in various fields of specialization, contributing ideas and opinions, and working in a team spirit to compile previous studies and research.
