The course describes the physical, chemical, mechanical, and biological properties of dental materials used in oral and dental health.

This course prepares the student to recognize terminology associated with dental restorative materials, and to identify the composition, properties, and characteristics of materials used in dentistry. The course focuses on the fundamental training of the student in the field of dental biomaterials.
