Knowing the digital camera systems suitable for use both inside and outside the mouth.
Use appropriate macro lenses for intraoral use.
• Describe multiple methods for taking intraoral and extraoral photographs, using mirrors and cheek retractors.
• Description of the uses of digital images in selecting and recording tooth shade.
• Description of other uses of photography in dentistry, such as patient education, gifts for members, and record-keeping.
• Clarification of digital images of the facial contour and profile, analysis of full occlusion, and communication with patients.
