Course Description: The course is designed to highlight the relevance of key biostatistics principles to oral epidemiology and dental research. It will cover data formulation, entry, and analysis using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The course will facilitate students in acquiring skills for inferring information and evaluating statistics presented in scientific papers.

By the end of this course, the student should be able to:
Statistical calculation and interpretation of statistical tests and confidence intervals for different types of data
• Calculation and interpretation of Cohen's kappa statistic to assess diagnostic agreement.
