General surgery

Course Description: This program is specifically designed to ensure that dental students acquire sound, integrated knowledge in various areas of anatomy, histology, pathology, microbiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, and the physiological basis of the human body systems, as well as common health problems directly or indirectly related to the practice of dentistry. This will include general surgery, ENT, and ophthalmology.

Objectives of the course :

By the end of this course, the student should be able to:
• Recognize the anatomical, histological, and physiological nature of the ear, nose, throat, and eye.
• Description of the disease, clinical and pathological picture of common E.N.T. and ophthalmologic health problems.
• Discussion of various diagnostic procedures for common problems in ophthalmology and ENT.

Course outputs :

• Address common problems in ophthalmology, otolaryngology (ENT), and dentistry.
• All of these goals will be achieved by emphasizing cognitive, skills, and affective domains.
