Course Description: This course focuses on the latest strategies and theories in teaching social studies. It covers: ethical thinking and values teaching, social constructivism, multiple intelligences, instructional design, and the use of computers in teaching social studies. It also includes skills for planning lessons based on classroom and computer methods for gifted students and students with learning disabilities, and planning lessons to develop values through social studies content.

Objectives of the course :

The course aims to help the student:
1. Understanding modern teaching strategies in social studies education.
2. Understanding learning theories and their applications in social studies teaching strategies.
3. Applying some modern teaching strategies in designing lessons from social studies curricula and textbooks.
4. Knowing computer-based social studies teaching strategies.
5. Understanding the principles of social constructivism and its relationship to teaching social studies.
6. Social studies lesson planning based on classroom and computer methods for gifted students and students with learning disabilities.
7. Social Studies Lesson Planning to Develop Values Through Social Studies Content.
