Introduction to Computers

Course Description: Theoretical Part: Introduction to computers, computer hardware and software, operating systems and software development, introduction to computer networks and the Internet, computer viruses, as well as the employment of computers in sectors and society, and selected topics in computers. Practical Part: Applications on Windows 7 operating system or later versions, word processing software (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel), database software (Microsoft Access), presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint), Internet Explorer web browser (web browsing, creating and managing email, downloading programs from the internet), and antivirus software.

Objectives of the course :

To enable students to get a clear picture of computer hardware and software components.
- Developing students' ability to work with operating systems and perform necessary tasks, such as using word processing, creating presentations, using spreadsheets, and navigating the internet.
– Teaching students how to gain experience in search engines effectively.
- Enabling students to have full knowledge of computer viruses, their types, and methods of prevention.
