Course Description: This course focuses on understanding the origins and historical development of media in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, highlighting its various stages and its role in the local society. The course reviews the most prominent Saudi media institutions, from press, radio, and television to digital media, and analyzes the evolution of their policies and administrative and regulatory frameworks. It also discusses the impact of Saudi media on promoting national identity and its role in conveying the Kingdom's image to the world. This course also addresses the various challenges facing Saudi media in the era of globalization and technology, with a focus on strategies for its development in alignment with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

This course aims to provide students with a deep understanding of the history and development of media in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its role in building national identity and promoting societal values.
